A personal note from Ales!
It’s almost Spring, at least here in Vancouver, Canada where I live!
Did you know that this is the perfect time to plan and book your travel for 2018? Hotels are mostly still wide open for bookings for the year and arranging them early, will give you the best options to choose from the different room categories.
This time of year is also the slower season for airlines and there are a lot of great airfares to be had all around the world, which I am happy to check for you.
Many of you have already had the experience of me making the arrangements for your journeys and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your trust and giving me the opportunity to take care of such a special time in your lives.
Most people only have 2 – 3 weeks of vacation time a year and whenever I plan any itineraries for my clients, I treat this as one of the most precious investments they make.
In order to create the best experiences possible, I don’t just use tour operators in any given country whom I have never worked with – I actually visit my contacts and meet them in person.
Last year for example, I met with my guides and local contacts for India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Croatia & Slovenia and I will be spending 3 weeks in March and April in Nicaragua, Guatemala and Panama.
This is of course in addition to all the wonderful people we already work with all around the world and these relationships also assure that wherever you are going, you’ll be well taken care of and always have a “local friend” who will be there to offer assistance whenever needed.
During my visits, I also always do extensive hotel inspections, where I have the chance to see their rooms in the different categories, visit their restaurants as well as all the other public spaces of the properties and meet with some of the staff working at the property. This allows me to have a first hand experience of many of the hotels I book for my clients.

I am very blessed to be able to do all my trips with my amazing son, Isaac, who is now 16 years old and accompanies me wherever I go. He is the best travel companion I could have ever wished for. – Who knows, one day he might be the one taking care of your trips. 🙂
